Cassie is a mostly self-taught artist with a background in graphics & design and a Bachelors in Architecture.
Cassie's primary practice is landscapes in oils, with a recent shift towards ship paintings inspired by her love of the Maritime industry. She paints in a photo-realistic style with inspiration drawn from NZ artists such as Rita Angus & Colin McCahon.
Her style is intuitive and she takes reference from photographs she herself has taken or occasionally has been given (of local ships).
